Goondiwindi Queensland
A few weeks ago I went to Goondiwindi with Brett's mum to visit his Grandmother. We took our time on the way up and back and did a few pit stops along the way in Milmerran and Warwick.
We had blue skies the whole time and it wasn't too cold. So in the morning's Brett's mum and I went for walks along the river and saw lots of native birds, from hundreds of Corellas to kookaburras, cockatoos and quite a few ducks. Brett's relatives own a farm out in Goondiwindi, and they still have a few head of sheep out there. So while we were there I was lucky enough to go and watch his uncle and cousin do some crutching (which is where they shave the wool from the sheeps' bums). Brett's mum and I fell in love with a little black lamb, whom we wanted to take home with us. The rest of the time was very relaxing, spent drinking endless amounts of tea and hearing family stories.
