Australia V Ghana: Loftus Road London

The crew and me headed for some pre-drinks at the Sheperds Bush Walkabout then made our way to the game. It was a real effort getting into the stadium but it was great to see so many Aussies in one place.

The atmosphere was electric and it felt like a one day international with all the Aussie songs and chanting. There was also the constant drum beats from the Ghana fans.

John Aloisi's penalty gave the Socceroos the lead and they would have been further ahead at the break had it not been for the heroics of Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingston.

Ghana seemed to have the better of the second half and scored after a costly mistake by keeper Mark Schwarzer. The game ended in a 1 all draw, the second draw for me in a row, first the Wallabies now the Socceroos!
